“Services” in our industry is an elusive term as defined by our customers and the type of job at hand. To us at SMKC, our services are what distinguish us from other competitors. Our attention to detail, our commitment to “go the extra mile” to help keep the project on schedule and avoid any difficulties and delays for other trades is what sets us apart as a preferred supplier/ subcontractor. Most projects entail the interpretation of provided Architectural and Structural contract drawings and preparation of detailed shop drawings. These are coordinated with suppliers’ bar joist, girder and decking layouts and field erection plans which are submitted to the design professionals for their review and approval.

With scheduling being critical to meeting the projected completion date, careful planning and follow-up is the key to delivering required components when needed.Close coordination, communication and interaction with other trades is extremely important to cost efficiency and time management during the life cycle of a building project. The availability of our staff and rapid response to field questions/ problems is very unique to this industry. Any additional materials that may be required for field problem solutions are expedited to keep our field erectors and the project moving forward to achieve common goals.
